Ship American groceries to Jamaica
Collect in Kingston or Montego Bay, or have it brought to your door
We ship to two ports in Jamaica: Jamaica – Kingston and Jamaica – Montego Bay. You choose the one nearer to you, or to the family you are buying for, at checkout. Shore to Shore Shipping carries the barrel there, and you arrange for it to be picked up.
Jamaica is the one island where it can also come to the door, because Shore to Shore Shipping has a presence there. To arrange door delivery, write to us at nj@shoretoshoreshipping.com or use the form on the Contact Us page.
What one barrel carries home
One barrel holds about 10.026 cubic feet and up to 300 lb. That is a large family grocery order: cases of drinks, rice, tinned goods, cleaning supplies, paper products, toiletries and baby items. The barrel meter in your cart shows how much room is left as you shop, and there is no minimum order.
Packed by hand in New Jersey
We pick and pack your order by hand into one of our blue 75-gallon barrels at our facility in Edison, New Jersey. You never handle a box, drive to a shipper, or pay for packing materials. An order that does not fit in one barrel ships in more than one.
Duties when you collect
Import duties and any customs charges are set by Jamaica, paid by the person collecting the barrel, and not included in the shipping charge. Rules differ by island, so check with your local customs authority for the current allowance on household goods.
What you pay
The shipping charge is per barrel, not per item, so a nearly full barrel costs the same to ship as a few items. It includes $40 handling for packing and loading, and checkout shows the full amount for your port, in US dollars, before you pay.
