We pack your barrel in New Jersey
Your order is picked and packed by hand into a 75-gallon shipping barrel at our Edison, New Jersey facility. You never handle a box, drive to a shipper, or pay for packing materials.
Shore to Shore carries it to your port
Shore to Shore Shipping, our partner of over 37 years, carries the barrel to your island port, where you collect it. You are told the shipping cost before you pay, not after.
What does shipping cost?
One barrel holds about 10.026 cubic feet and up to 300 lb — as much as fits by size and weight. You pay one flat rate for that barrel, plus $40 handling per barrel for packing and loading, and you see the full amount before you pay. Shipping to Jamaica is $60 a barrel. An order that does not fit in one barrel simply ships in more than one, at the same rate each.
Because the rate covers a whole barrel, a small order costs the same to ship as a nearly full one. It is usually worth filling the barrel — your cart shows exactly how much room is left.

A standard 75-gallon shipping barrel holds about 10.026 cubic feet of goods. In practice that is a large family grocery order — cases of drinks, rice, tinned goods, cleaning supplies, paper products, toiletries and baby items. Your cart tracks the space you have used as you shop, so you are never guessing.
If your order needs more than one barrel, the cart says so before you pay.
Duties and collection
Your barrel is collected at the destination port shown for your island. Import duties and any customs charges are set by your own country and are paid by the person collecting the barrel; they are not included in the shipping rate and we do not add a margin to them. Rules differ by island, so check with your local customs authority for the current allowance on household goods.
