So versital and delicious
I love this gluten free honey cornbread recipe. I especially like that there is no tapioca which I also am sensitve to, and which most gluten free baked goods and mixes contain. I have used the mix to make pumpkin spice muffins with raisins and nuts, also have added lemon zest and blueberries for great blueberry muffins. Once even added coffee and chocolate chips for a mocha muffin version!
Yummy!!
These are super yummy and easy to make!! Highly recommend!
Packaging and shipping
Products themselves are good and a decent price compared to many stores near me. My issue is with the packaging for this product and how it was shipped. The outside box was torn and falling apart. The cornbread boxes were smashed and one of the 3 was leaking the mix/powder from the bag.
Great taste but product not for me
Let me start by saying this gluten free corn bread does taste good. . It made a beautiful and delicious cornbread dressing.the muffins baked up beautifully, even with non-dairy almond milk. However, I have learned to not eat any boxed items that don’t specifically state what type of modified food starch is contained within.
I haven’t gotten to speak with the company because I should have spoken with them before I used it. I have a tapioca intolerance due to latex allergy. I don’t recommend to use this one if you are sensitive to tapioca. I only took star off due to the lack of clarity of the modified food starch disclosures.
I had hives within a few hours of consuming this and other symptoms of tapioca contamination.
Cornbread like you remember it.
I made this for Thanksgiving. No one even knew they were GF. I made them in a silicone muffin pan and served them with honey butter. No gritty texture, just a value friendly mix that tastes like cornbread did before having to go GF! Yum!
