Founded in 1946 by World War II Navy veteran John Kinder, Kinder’s started as a small butcher shop in San Pablo, California. Over the course of seven decades, John built a reputation for commitment to quality, exceptional family service, and unparalleled flavors. Even at the age of 90, he was known for his dedication, always being the first to arrive and helping customers find quality ingredients for their meals. Today, at Kinder’s, we proudly carry on Grandpa John’s legacy of quality, family service, and flavor obsession.
