How ShippoHippo Works
ShippoHippo is an American supermarket that ships. You buy your groceries and household goods here, we pack them into a barrel at our New Jersey facility, and Shore to Shore Shipping carries the barrel to your port in the Caribbean. There is no forwarding address to set up and no second website to order from.
Four steps, start to finish
1. Fill your cart
Browse groceries, pantry staples, coffee, baby and toddler supplies, health and wellness products, household essentials and office supplies. Everything on this site is stocked for barrel shipping, so anything you add can travel.
2. Choose your port at checkout
Enter your delivery country and your shipping cost appears immediately. We serve eighteen destinations; Jamaica and St Kitts and Nevis each offer two ports, so you pick the one nearest you. Full pricing is on our shipping rates page.
3. We pack your barrel
Your order is packed into a 75-gallon blue jumbo barrel — the same drum Caribbean families have shipped in for decades. Barrels are waterproof, tough enough for an ocean crossing, and they keep everything together as one consignment rather than a scatter of parcels.
4. Collect at your port
Your barrel sails with Shore to Shore Shipping, our partner of more than 37 years in Caribbean freight. For most destinations you collect at your designated port. Trinidad is delivered to Point Lisas.
The part worth understanding: one rate covers a lot of goods
Shipping is not charged per item or per pound. It is charged per $900 of goods. One shipping charge covers everything up to that value, so the fuller your order, the less each item costs to send.
Shipping to Kingston, Jamaica, for example, is $60 for anything up to $900 of goods:

A small order and a nearly full one carry the same charge. That is why most of our customers stock up on the things they buy regularly — rice, cooking oil, canned goods, coffee, seasonings, cleaning supplies, baby items — rather than sending a handful of items at a time.
Once your order passes $900, a second shipping charge begins, covering the next $900. Your cart shows the exact figure before you pay.

Paying for your order
We accept credit and debit cards. Payment is taken securely at checkout, and your order number and receipt are emailed to you straight away. You can follow your shipment on our order tracking page using the number in that email.
